The National Lockdown to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) has been enforced now for a few weeks in South Africa and I am wondering if you are craving Therapeutic Reflexology treatments yet? Let’s talk about it in today’s post.
When you are used to regular Therapeutic Reflexology sessions, it may be an adjustment if you are not able to receive regular treatments and you may even experience some of the unwanted symptoms returning. This may lead you to long for another Therapeutic Reflexology session.
It should be mentioned that Therapeutic Reflexology is an essential healthcare service and we are allowed to offer you a session during the lockdown for emergencies, but apart from that, we are not allowed to practice as per usual and there are numerous limitations, restrictions, and requirements in place so we stay within the national lockdown guidelines.
Today, I do not want to talk about emergency sessions and receiving an emergency session during the lockdown because that was dealt with in the previous post, so please feel free to read that post on our website. I want to talk to you about the non-emergency symptoms you may be experiencing as a result of not receiving your regular Therapeutic Reflexology sessions. The symptoms that do not classify your need for a Therapeutic Reflexology session as an emergency, but it does increase your discomfort and negatively affect your quality of life.
It is at the moment when these symptoms resurface that you may crave another Therapeutic Reflexology session.
You are not alone. I crave another session for myself because I also receive regular treatments as I truly believe in the profession I practice and therefore personally make use thereof as well.
As a Therapeutic Reflexologist, I also crave touching your feet again and to offer you some regular treatments. I love my profession and not being able to practice it daily, is not ideal and it leads me to crave offering you sessions again.
So what can we do while we are still in the national lockdown?
There are many options ranging from being productive to just using the time to relax, but what can you do with your feet during this period?
Why not put some nice lukewarm water in a bowl with some good foot products like foot salts or foot scrubs or even Epson salt or if you do not have any of that available, you may use normal sea salt or even table salt if you do not have sea salt. Soak your feet in there while you just relax and experience some inner calmness, even if it is only for a while or even while reading a book or watching a movie.
When removing your feet from the soak water, dry your feet properly and ensure you properly dry between your toes. Then spoil yourself by rubbing in some foot lotion or if you do not have that available, use any hand or foot cream you have available. If you do not have any cream available, you may use some Vaseline. Rub it in and massage your feet to moisturise your feet.
That may not only be relaxing but will also keep your feet nice and soft and I’m sure you would like soft feet and soft heels at the end of the lockdown, so use the available time to spoil your feet and once the lockdown is over, please do not hesitate to contact me for your next professional Therapeutic Reflexology session again.
I crave to work with your feet just as much as you crave to have your feet professionally worked on!
Hope to see you soon for your next Therapeutic Reflexology session.
