Partner with a Therapeutic Reflexologist

Partnering with a Therapeutic Reflexologist may benefit your Therapeutic Reflexology treatments; read more in today’s post.

A partnership is not usually a concept you would associate with Therapeutic Reflexology, but have you ever considered it?  Let me explain what I am referring to.

When you are considering Therapeutic Reflexology, you may look around to find a Therapeutic Reflexologist and you may go for a treatment session or two but later when you want to receive another session, you may look around again for a Therapeutic Reflexologist.  This usually happens when you base your decisions for treatment on price or availability, however, choosing a Therapeutic Reflexologist should be more than choosing the one charging the lowest rates or one that just happens to be available at a specific time.  There is nothing wrong with this and you are free to do so and to jump around from one Therapeutic Reflexologist to the next, however, have you ever considered partnering with one specific Therapeutic Reflexologist and then receiving treatments from one therapist?

Why should I even consider this, you may ask?  Well, there are definite benefits in sticking with one Therapeutic Reflexologist, especially for a certain number of treatments.  The major benefit is that the Therapeutic Reflexologist gets to know you and your feet, making it possible to evaluate your progress, or lack thereof, over a specific period.  Doing this makes it possible for the Therapeutic Reflexologist to adjust your treatment and to offer you the best possible treatment plan over a specific period to ensure you receive the best possible treatment; and if no progress is seen over a specific period, the Therapeutic Reflexologist may have a conversation with you about discontinuing treatment or involving or referring to another healthcare professional.  This is not always possible if you constantly jump from one Therapeutic Reflexologist to the next.

Partnering with a Therapeutic Reflexologist does not mean that you may never see another Therapeutic Reflexologist, but it means that you commit for a specific period to a specific therapist.  Usually, I would prefer if patients were willing to commit to about 10 treatment sessions, especially when they are dealing with specific healthcare conditions they want to address.  This is not set in stone and if you would like to change to another Therapeutic Reflexologist, all that is required is that you inform me accordingly.  What I would then do, is provide the new Therapeutic Reflexologist with the necessary information for the treatments already completed.  This can ensure a continuation in treatment, so if you ever move to another city, there is no need to start sessions all over, you may simply continue with another Therapeutic Reflexologist in that city; I may even assist you in finding a Therapeutic Reflexologist in the city you are moving to.  This is only possible if you are willing to commit and openly communicate to your Therapeutic Reflexologist.

We live in times where commitment is not something people like to do.  They want to be fluid and decide daily what they want to do.  There is nothing wrong with that, but unfortunately, this may hinder your treatment progress and then you may blame Therapeutic Reflexology for not being effective, yet the problem is not the therapy but rather your lack of commitment and jumping around between therapists.

I know, we live in times where everything is expensive, and it seems like prices are just constantly escalating.  Partnering with a Therapeutic Reflexologist may result in you paying less for treatments due to a specific treatment plan that may be followed, rather than constantly paying the initial fee that most Therapeutic Reflexologists are obligated to charge for new patients as per the standard medical scheme recommended protocol.

Now the question emerges as to why you should choose Christo Scheepers as your Therapeutic Reflexologist.  This is your personal choice and if you are ever not comfortable with me, I shall gladly refer you to another Therapeutic Reflexologist.  Partnering with me does not mean that you are bound forever, it merely means that you give me a fair chance to provide you with the best possible treatment I am able to provide you, based on my more than 19 years of reflexology and healthcare experience.

Providing a brief overview as to why you should consider Christo Scheepers as your regular Therapeutic Reflexologist, consider the following facts:

  1. He commenced reflexology in January 2003 and initially completed a Diploma in Reflexology (Cum Laude) in the beauty industry under the guidance of Hans Gerspacher from Germany with Aesthetic+Cosmetic in Randburg, Johannesburg.
  2. He later completed a Diploma in Therapeutic Reflexology (Cum Laude) in 2017 under the guidance of Inge Dougans from Denmark with the International Academy of Reflexology and Meridian Therapy (IARAMT); at that stage, it was an NQF Level 6 qualification fully recognised with the Department of Education and the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).
  3. Christo is registered as a Therapeutic Reflexologist with the Allied Health Professions Council of South Africa (AHPCSA) and has a valid practice number from the Board of Healthcare Funders (BHF), the same place where medical doctors get their practice numbers from, making medical aid reimbursement possible; depending on the patient’s medical scheme and the medical aid plan/option they are on.
  4. Apart from the training in Therapeutic Reflexology, Christo also holds various qualifications in complementary healthcare, massage, counselling, and business with his highest qualification being a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in the Management of Technology and Innovation after completing extensive research about practice management within the fields of entrepreneurship and healthcare management.
  5. Christo does not only work with your feet, but he is also passionate about feet as many patients will vouch for the fact that they can feel it in the way treatment is performed. Therapeutic Reflexology is more than merely a profession for him, it is a way of living as he truly believes in the therapy and its effects and therefore uses it himself.

Choosing a Therapeutic Reflexologist is just as important as choosing a General Practitioner because you are going to share information and receive hands-on treatment and therefore you need to be comfortable with the therapist you choose.  If anything makes you uncomfortable, discuss it with your Therapeutic Reflexologist so a joint decision can be made as to whether it can be rectified or whether a referral to another therapist may be necessary.

Christo Scheepers is a healthcare professional, so never feel uncomfortable or hesitant to talk to him about anything.  He will not take it personally if you want to discuss or see his qualifications or registration certificates (all visible inside his practice office), or if you want to discuss any specific matter.  As a professional, he is there to ensure you always receive the best possible Therapeutic Reflexology.

If you want to partner with Christo Scheepers as your Therapeutic Reflexologist or if you merely want to visit him for an initial session to consider partnering with him as your therapist, feel free to make your appointment today!
