All day on your feet

Are you spending all day on your feet?  Are you standing for long periods of time?  Does your work have you standing, walking or running for extended periods of time?  When your feet get tired, it is sometimes needed to rejuvenate those body parts that very few pay attention to.  In today’s post, we’ll talk a bit about spending long periods of time on your feet.

We all have different physical bodies; some are built very petitely while others have a little more padding around the curves.  Regardless of the size of your body, your feet work hard to keep your body upright.  Have you ever thought about the fact that your feet are carrying your body’s weight all day?  Yes, so often we want to lose weight to look better, but your current weight is directly pressing on your feet all day.

Your weight is usually not a problem for your feet, because the human feet have been designed uniquely to carry your weight, but when you are on your feet for extended periods of time, your feet may become tired and feel overworked.  After a long period on your feet, it is not strange for you to have sore feet and just want something or somebody to help you work out the pain from your feet by either soaking your feet in warm water with a good foot soaking product or somebody giving you a foot massage.

Not always that easy finding somebody to do the foot massaging, so you usually end up doing it yourself or sometimes you may make use of a foot spa doing some vibrating in order for you to get a foot massage, but unfortunately machines lack the human touch so the massage is not always what you desire.

Having tired feet after a long day on your feet is a normal result of putting pressure on your feet for extended periods of time.  When you have a work where you have to spend many hours on your feet, it does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that you will have to spend consecutive days on your feet for long periods if that is what your work requires.  The problem comes in when you do this regularly and you may end up with painful feet or even worse, sometimes even varicose veins.

If your weight distribution is not what it should be, you may consider using insteps in your shoes to try and alleviate the pressure on your feet, but even after putting everything in place, you sometimes just need to relax, put your feet up and have your feet massaged and pampered.  Men usually don’t have their feet pampered or they may go for a massage at a health spa to have their feet worked on.  Women usually go to beauty salons for a pedicure and a bit of a foot massage.

Today I want to ask you a different question: Have you ever considered Therapeutic Reflexology as a way to have your tired, overworked and sore feet professionally worked on?

If not, maybe it is time to consider a professional Therapeutic Reflexology session for your feet that are carrying your entire body weight for extended periods of time.

Therapeutic Reflexology is an ideal healthcare modality to help your body relax and feel rejuvenated while your feet are professionally pampered and worked on by stimulating the reflexes (nerve endings) and not only the muscles.  It is a very relaxing treatment that is non-invasive so you do not even have to get undressed; all you have to take off, are your shoes and socks.

Your feet may be painful from all the standing, walking or running so you do not want any treatment that will cause more pain.  In Therapeutic Reflexology, there may be sensitive areas on your feet, but a professional Therapeutic Reflexologist will know how to work with your feet without causing you more pain.  The result of a good Therapeutic Reflexology session is that your feet may feel less painful but also relaxed, rejuvenated and pampered.

Therapeutic Reflexology is more than a healthcare modality, it is one of the best ways to have your feet professionally pampered and taken care of while your entire body benefits from this ultimate form of relaxation.

Your feet deserve a professional pampering session.  Call your Therapeutic Reflexologist today.
