Holistic Reflexology: Financial Dimension

Therapeutic reflexology is a complementary healthcare modality that holistically treat the human body.  In today’s post we’ll explore this holistic modality, especially in the financial dimension, to understand where it can be used effectively.

Financial Holism

Human beings are holistic in nature and consists of seven distinct dimensions, namely the physical, psychological (emotional), spiritual, sexual, social, financial and career dimensions (Scheepers, 2003; Scheepers, 2007).  Therapeutic Reflexology is able to address all seven these dimensions and therefore it can be seen as a truly holistic healthcare modality.

Today our focus will be on the financial dimension; that human dimension characterised by your money, finances or wealth.  It should be mentioned that therapeutic reflexology cannot help you earn money or create wealth, but it is able to assist you to maintain your health in order for you to be able to work.

Financial Benefits

Therapeutic reflexology is a recognised healthcare modality and in South Africa it is formally regulated by the Allied Health Professions Council of South Africa (AHPCSA).  As a result, you will never hear any therapeutic reflexologist make claims like certain people advertising in newspapers do when stating that they can help you to create wealth.  Those are unrecognised professions; professionals registered with the AHPCSA will never make such claims.

Therapeutic reflexologists cannot create wealth for you!

What therapeutic reflexology can do for you with regards to the financial human dimension, is threefold.  Firstly, therapeutic reflexology is excellent in keeping you healthy; it is called preventative medicine.  It is better to stay healthy instead of having to treat an illness.

Therapeutic reflexology is known as a good preventative healthcare modality as it reduces stress and if your stress levels are under control, you are busy preventing illness as 85% or more of known illness conditions today, are stress related.  Many conditions are caused by stress, but even those that are not directly attributed to be caused by stress, are actually worsened by stress.

In today’s fast-paced society many people are experiencing stress and it has become such a part of our lives that we sometimes do not even realise that we are stressed.  We have been desensitised to stress and the result is that we live on such high stress levels, but if this continue over a long period of time, it usually results in illness conditions.

By getting regular therapeutic reflexology sessions, your stress levels are being kept under control which in turn keeps you healthy and functioning optimally.  In turn, that keeps you healthy and able to work without any restrictions resulting in you being able to earn an income and become financially stable and create your own wealth by means of good investment opportunities.  Therapeutic reflexology does not create wealth for you, but it assists your body to remain healthy in order for you to function optimally and earn an income as a result of being able to work productively while performing at your optimum levels.

The second aspect where therapeutic reflexology may help your financial dimension, is in the fact that it helps your body to stay healthy which means that you are not constantly off sick from work. Furthermore, by staying healthy, you do not have to spend exuberant amounts of money on very expensive medical tests and treatments to deal with your illness conditions.  It is often far less expensive to pay for a therapeutic reflexology session once a week or once a month instead of having to pay expensive fees on in-hospital tests, hospital stays and even the loss of income while being ill and unable to work.  Prevention is always better than cure; and less expensive.

Thirdly, when you do become ill, therapeutic reflexology may assist in helping you deal with the illness condition; usually as part of a multi-disciplinary approach in combination with your other medical treatment. Ultimately, if you do become ill, you want to get well as soon as possible in order to be able to return to work without having to lose income by not being able to work.  Therapeutic reflexology is an excellent healthcare modality not only for preventative healthcare, but also as a complementary healthcare modality supporting you even if you are under other medical or healthcare treatment.

Therapeutic reflexology does add value to the financial dimension of being human, but not by creating wealth for you.  No, instead therapeutic reflexology may assist in keeping you healthy and your stress levels under control in order for you to work and earn an income.  It furthermore helps you to save expensive fees on unnecessary medical expenses and tests that could have been prevented; being hospitalised means you cannot work and earn an income.  Lastly, therapeutic reflexology is an excellent supportive treatment helping you to deal with illness conditions when it arises so you can get back to work instead of losing income by being ill in bed.

Therapeutic reflexology is an ideal healthcare modality to assist you to manage your stress levels in order for you to be able to perform to the maximum of your ability so you can be optimally productive and earn income to deal with your financial dimension.
