This course has been written based on valuable personal experience gained in the past by owning and managing various business enterprises as well as being involved as volunteer in various positions to obtain the necessary skills.
Some of these business enterprises has been very successful and others not so successful. In November 2008 I had to close down a franchise business due to various reasons and took a hard knock financially, but also in ego. It is never easy for a person to reach a point of failure and admitting failure is even more difficult, but once the inevitable has been faced you are in a position to learn valuable lessons from your mistakes.
In this course I am attempting to share some of these valuable life lessons with you to assist you in not having to make the same mistakes and go through the same negative experiences and life circumstances I had to go through. We are all going to make mistakes and we learn from our mistakes, but the more mistakes you make, the more expensive the life lessons. Reducing the mistakes you make is the most inexpensive approach to entering the future and ensuring you reach your destiny in the process.
What I am about to share with you in Entrepreneurship 101 is not all about the mistakes I have made, but a combination of practical life, business, entrepreneurship and leadership experience combined with theoretical expertise drawing from my qualifications.
The motto of the university through which I received my first PhD degree was: “Training is not about what you learn, but what you become.” During my studies with other universities this motto has become a reality when I realised early on the value of the mindset change busy to occur.
A paradigm shift is what you should consider when working through this course; moving away from the traditional way of viewing business, entrepreneurship, and leadership and considering a fresh approach to a well-known subject. This course intends to provide you with a fresh entrepreneurship perception while being practical and relevant for your immediate application.
Enjoy the journey of discovery you are about to embark on in Entrepreneurship 101 while experiencing strategic potential development in various dimensions in your life. The course consists of various lessons followed by coaching questions that encourage you to think through different aspects of your life.
